RADCLIFFE Borough set up a home tie against Spennymoor in the first qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup after winning through on a replay following a titanic tussle with Droylsden.

Bill Prendergast's men came from behind three times to earn a 4-4 draw at their Evo-Stik First Division North rivals on Saturday.

Elliott Rokka handed them a fourth-minute lead before Droylsden striker Stephen Lewis fired in two first-half penalties.

Captain Jack Hindle levelled on 56 minutes, but two goals from the hosts' Lewis Daly, either side of a Yousif Yousif strike for Boro, looked to have handed them victory before Rokka popped up with an equaliser two minutes from time.

Boro had to do it the hard way again on Tuesday night after Lewis slotted home from inside the box to give Droylsden a 34th-minute lead.

The visitors' goal came against the run of play after Boro had made all the early running, with Rokka going closest to opening the scoring, hitting the bar with a 30-yard free kick.

The Radcliffe midfielder hit the woodwork again just two minutes after Droylsden went in front, his shot deflecting on to the crossbar off the head of Domain Rouse.

The home side finally got the rub of the green on 51 minutes when Hindle's shot was adjudged to have been handled in the box and the captain stood up to level from the penalty spot.

And he doubled his tally for the night 12 minutes from time, smashing home the loose ball from six yards after a Raul Corriea header was blocked.

Corriea scuffed an opportunity to seal the tie, putting his shot wide after breaking clear.

Boro almost paid a heavy price for the miss, but stopper Matty Johnson produced a stunning save, low to his right, to maintain their lead and book a place in the next round.
