Bury slumped deeper into relegation trouble this afternoon with a 3-0 defeat at Peterborough United.
The Shakers are five points adrift at the bottom of League One and six away from safety.
But there was no shortage of signs to cheer boss Chris Lucketti as he continues to settle into the Gigg Lane hot seat as his side created plenty of chances, and good ones, but were unable to finish.
A Danny Lloyd double and Jack Marriott header condemed the Shakers to a heavy defeat in which they had Eoghan O’Connell sent off for two yellow cards in as many minutes.
Lloyd nodded in the opener in the second minute from a corner from close range.
And after O’Connell was dismissed in the 56th minute Marriott headed a second and Lloyd, in space 30 yards out, unleashed a sublime hit into the top corner.
