BURY boss David Flitcroft has dismissed any links with Blackpool winger James Caton.
Seasiders boss Paul Ince dropped a hint that the 20-year-old midfielder could be heading to the Shakers on loan.
He name-checked the former Bolton Wanderers trainee after Blackpool's most recent defeat against Middlesbrough.
“You can see where we are by looking at our bench,” he said.
“On Saturday, we had two 18-year-olds (Henry Cameron, Mark Waddington), a player who has been on loan at Carlisle (Nathan Eccleston) and one who is due to go to Bury (James Caton).
"That’s where we are. We lack strength in depth.”
But Flitcroft has distanced Bury from the claim, saying a deal for Caton was "never a goer".
