What a last game of the season. Where did that come from? A very reliable and resolute defense fell apart within that last 10 mins. The first half was outstanding and when we went 3-0 up, I personally thought we would get 5.

Hallam is top drawer. This kid is top drawer, Wonder if David can work his magic and get him next season? He terrorized Pompey. Talking of Pompey, what support!!

I am thrilled for the fans, team, management and chairman that we have established ourselves as a force for the next season. A win next week at Morecombe and a BG show of fans will be just right for me. What a season...

Oh dear at 3-0 Pompey seemed to get some momentum and we got very shaky and scruffy in defence, this was exasserpated by Jensen having a nightmare in gathering the ball, most times Pompey came forward, the throw in's into the box and set pieces caused havoc, however, these things happen in football and if we had been 3-0 down and come back to 4-4 in the final minutes no one would be complaining,so the positives of other aspects of the game outweigh the negatives and the unbeaten home run continues into next season, bring it on.

Yes I agree with you,Pompey only started to get their game together once they realised they were in for a severe beating.
It's a pity about the dramatic collapse of our defence in those final few minutes and that the lads weren't canny enough to see the game out but I enjoyed the match as a spectacle.
The neutrals would have enjoyed it but from the managers point of view the defending would have been horrendous to witness from the touchline.
Jensen had one of his worst games for us in a Bury shirt but Hope was different class and I was thrilled to witness the first Bury player to score a hat-trick since Ian Lawson's against Colchester United back in 1999.I think that too was an 8 goal thriller finishing 5-3 to The Shakers.

Right, i still can't get over the way we capitulated in that 2nd half, to concede 4 goals at home against, what has to be said, was a pretty poor Pompey team was imo disgraceful. Having nothing to play for or not, i really hope DF laid down the law after the game, as that cannot be accepted going forward into next season. The defending for all 4 goals was absolutely appalling and what Jensen was doing for the last one i just don't know.....well atleast it'll give Flickers and Co something to work on this week. I still feel naffed off now. Anyway, rant over.lol

Overall, i think at the beginning of the season i think we would all agree that a mid table finish is what we all have settled for, to stabilize our very tough start to the season...and we've achieved that. Thanks to Mr Day and Flickers we now have a very steady footing going into next season and we all know that the ambition of both will be promotion.
With Hope, Mayor and Hussey all in talks to stay next season, couple this with a few more decent acquisitions, there really is no reason why we shouldn't do very well.

Onwards and upwards.

If you have any doubts about what we are to expect next season, have a listen to The Chairman's interview on shakers player. Here is a man who knows how to run a business and a football club. His insights and plans are progressive and exciting.
His choice of David is also brought up and this rubbish about monies being paid by other Managers is jealously. He is a Fan's fan. There is no doubt with Mr, Day at the helm and the support of the board and Flickers leading the way that we will succeed in league 2 and beyond.

What an incredible year for our club. This time last year we were wondering what the heck?.

Loved his comments about the pitch being the best in the league after the re-lay, the supporters interests are his interests and the whole interview was so uplifting.

Some may criticize for leaving KB at the helm. I say No. He gave KB the chance ( as loyalty is one of his biggest attributes), and predictably KB failed.

Well the future is looking bright, a really good game enjoyed by the majority of the supporters. Heard one or two people whinging just after pompeys equaliser that the team was crap, well I dont know who they was watching but it obviously was Bury. And for those of you who were moaning what the hell do you want, we are lucky to have a team, manager and director who want to go places.
