BURY boss David Flitcroft just missed out on the Sky Bet League Two manager of the month prize for February, losing out to Portsmouth coach Andy Awford.
The Shakers were unbeaten in February, amassing 11 points from a possible 15 while keeping three clean sheets in the process.
But Pompey had a slightly better record, earning 14 points from six games and keeping four clean sheets, while also registering the result of the month – a 6-2 win at Cambridge.
Elsewhere, Norwich’s Alex Neil won the Championship prize, beating off competition from former Bolton boss and new Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman, while Preston’s Simon Grayson got the nod in League One.
Forest forward Henri Lansbury was named the Championship’s player of the month, with the prize going to Crawley’s Izale McLeod in League One and Portsmouth midfielder Jed Wallace in the bottom tier.
