JOHN STANTON On 13th January 2020, after having celebrated a fantastic Christmas and New Year with his family, John sadly passed away at home aged 64. He was the most loving and devoted husband to Wendy, fabulous dad to Jonathan and Matthew and the best ever grandad to Clara, Luke, Alfred and Arthur. He was also a loving brother to Jacqueline and Eileen and a wonderful father-in-law, son-in-law and brother-in-law. A celebratory service will be held at Radcliffe Crematorium on Monday 3 February at 11.30am. Family flowers only please, so if you would like to contribute send donations to the Motor Neurone Disease Association online (www.mndassociation.org) or by cheque payable to the association via Silletts. They were a great support to our family.

Hi Wendy, you may not remember me but I remember sharing many happy times with me Steve you and John back in the 70’s and I am so very sorry for your loss. I have just read this very sad news in The Bury Times. I have already had a friends husband who died due to MND. In fact for the last 15 years I have been raising awareness and money for this very sad illness. My heart goes out to you, Matthew and Johnathan & family. Thinking of you at this sad time.
