ACTORS are bringing the West End to Bury at The Met next week.
The Prestwich Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society will perform BIG, the Musical from Wednesday, April 25, to Saturday, April 28.
The group is back at The Met, in Market Street, to perform the musical following the success of Rock of Ages in February.
It will be the North West’s debut performance of the popular West End production.
Based on the iconic ’80s film starring Tom Hanks, it tells the story of Josh Baskin, a 12-year-old boy who hates being little, until one night at the carnival the mysterious Zoltar machine grants his wish to be BIG.
Trapped in an adult’s body and alone in New York, he innocently tries to find his way around a grown-up world where it’s all work and no play.
BIG is an upbeat and joyous musical that is suitable for all ages and brings to life the magic of one of the best-loved movies of all time.
All shows start at 7.30pm with an extra matinee performance on Saturday at 2.30pm.
Tickets are priced at £11 for the Saturday matinee showing and all other showings cost £14.
Tickets can be bought from The Met box office on 0161 761 2216 or at themet.org.uk/event/big-the-musical
