On Thursday 28th February, Castlebrook invited pupils from some of our local primary schools to participate in ‘Let’s Talk Together’, an activity which was designed to provide an opportunity for learners of different ages to come together to celebrate their achievements in oral literacy.  The event took place in the ILZ and was organised by Mrs Cooper along with six Year 7 learners:  Abigail Harrington, Abby Carroll, Phoebie Brown, George Nee, Jack Lee and Usman Jilani.

Castlebrook Year 7s presented their projects on ‘A Person I Admire’ with the girls focusing on acclaimed novel writer Jacqueline Wilson and the boys choosing to discuss legendary footballer Pelé.
In return, Hollins Grundy described the work on ‘The Snow Queen’ treating everybody to some video performances of their Year 3 learners discussing some of the characters.

An extremely enjoyable afternoon was had by all and many thanks to all those who participated and made the event such a success.
