A PENSIONER suffered a head injury after being hit by a cyclist on a busy main road.
The 80-year-old woman banged her head at 2.55pm on Tuesday near the Swan And Cemetery pub, in Manchester Road, Bury.
It is thought she may have stepped into the road in front of the bicycle, which was being ridden by a 69-year-old man.
She suffered a head injury which was described as “minor” and was taken to North Manchester General Hospital for treatment.
Part of the road was closed while Greater Manchester Police’s serious collision investigation unit worked at the scene.
The cyclist has not been arrested.
