FIREFIGHTERS at Bury fire station were called out twice after strong winds caused damage to structures last night.
Fire crews were first called to a house in Manchester Road, Bury, after an pole with three aerials and a satellite dish had become lose because of the wind at about 9pm.
The crew decided the best way to make the area safe was to pull the pole down.
The same team were then called out again at 11pm to a similar incident in Booth Street in Tottington.
Once again, strong winds had clattered into an aerial pole outside a house, this time forcing it to come free and hang down in front of another house.
Firefighters completely removed the pole and made the area safe before leaving the scene.
