THE sun came out and so did the crowds as Christ Church CE Primary School Walshaw held a successful summer fair.
The event raised £1,500 to go towards developing the school grounds off Church Street. Pupils, parents, members of the community and former pupils were among those who attended.
Attractions included a bouncy castle, stalls, a "beat the goalie" competition and a barbecue.
Deputy headteacher Mrs Sarah Howard said: "It was a lovely day and everyone enjoyed themselves."
