A MAN who hit the headlines for staging a protest at a McDonald’s drive thru has been found guilty of assault.
Connor John Hamer, 23, of Doffer Fold Farm, Radcliffe, was refused service and hit the news after his protest at the Pilsworth branch after they refused to serve him on his horse and cart.
He has been in prison since May after he was sentenced to 12 months for a dangerous three-mile high-speed police chase through Radcliffe in April.
At Bury magistrates recently he was been found guilty of assaulting Stephen Crowe by beating him in Bury on March 17.
The incident was an unprovoked road rage attack and he was jailed for 28 days, to run concurrently with the other sentence.
The 22-year-old’s sentence will run concurrently with the 12 months he is currently serving.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80.
