A TRIPLE A* student will be following her lifelong dream of becoming a fashion designer as she heads to Leeds University.
Lucy Moore, who studied at Holy Cross College, said she was “shocked” when she opened her results and has been inspired by her fashion idol, Alexander McQueen.
The 18-year-old added: “I have wanted to be a fashion designer ever since I was little and I’m so excited to go to Leeds and get started.”
Fellow high-achiever Ben Scourfield got three A*s in Maths, Further Maths, and French, and is heading to Lancaster University.
Josh Baird, from Whitefield, added an A* in his Extended Project Qualification to three more in Biology, Chemistry and English Literature.
He is taking a year out to travel the world and is then hoping to study primary teaching at Edinburgh University.
