FOUR of the country’s leading folk artists are to perform a special fund-raising concert in aid of Bury Hospice.
St Agnes Fountain featuring David Hughes, Chris Leslie from Fairport Convention, Julie Matthews and Chris While will be bringing their annual Christmas tour to Bury Parish Church on Monday, December 5.
The show will feature ‘rhythmed-up’ carols and Christmas music, interspersed with laughter and spoken word. The quartet have recently released their eighth album, Christmas Is Not Far Away.
Away from the band, Chris While and Julie Matthews have won the Radio 2 Folk Award for best folk duo.
St Agnes Fountain only get together in December every year for a seasonal tour and for many fans, their shows are the start of Christmas festivities
Tickets for the show are available from the box office at Bury Met on 0161 761 2216. The date was originally scheduled for the Met and tickets purchased for that have been reissued or refunded.
