A RADCLIFFE woman has been prosecuted for falsely claiming £642 in council tax discount.
Nicola Howarth’s fraud came to light after making an application to buy her house under the Right to Buy scheme.
A council investigation revealed that she falsely included her partner in the application. Howarth of Irwell Close, pleaded guilty to fraud at Manchester Magistrates Court and was fined £166, plus £270 costs.
