A PUPIL from The Derby High School is hoping to go into a career in IT after pleasing GCSE results.
Ethan Hargraves, aged 16, and born and raised in Radcliffe, received 2 A*s and 5 As along with grade 7 in maths, 8 in English language and 6 in English literature.
He said: “My results were slightly better than I expected so I am happy. I put a lot of hard work in and it has all paid off.
“I definitely want to go into IT as it has always been my expertise so that is what I am focussing on."
Ethan says he is not 100 per cent sure whether he will now go to college or try and find a role in IT as an apprentice somewhere.
He added: “I would like to thank all of the teaching staff here for getting me through all of my classes and I will never forget everything that they have down for me.
“I came to collect my results alone but called my mother straight after I had opened them. She was happy and proud of me.”
