A MAN has been arrested after a gun was fired at the front window of a convenience store.
The shooting happened at the Local Choice shop in Chester Road, Stretford, at about 5.30pm yesterday (Tuesday) and police attended and found a bullet at the scene.
Officers later stopped a silver Land Rover in Bury New Road, Prestwich, and a 33-year-old man was detained on suspicion of possessing a firearm.
Nobody was injured in the shooting and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesman from Greater Manchester Police said there would be increased patrols in the area and anyone with any concerns is asked to speak to officers.
