A NUMBER of events were being held today to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the NHS in Bury
They included an event at Barista on the Rock from 9.30am to 11am, which was hosted by Bury North MP James Frith.
A family fun day at Bury’s Living Well Centre, from 11.30 am to 1.30pm which was a family and staff celebration.
Staff and members of the public were invited enjoy lunch along with the Mayor of Bury and local school children. A children’s entertainer was on hand to keep the youngsters amused.
There were also staff presentations and a celebration of services delivered in Bury by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Bury Clinical Commissioning Group is hosting a Big7Tea Party, at Bury Town Hall’s Peel Room, where participants can enjoy cake, fruit and a cuppa from 4.30pm to 6pm on Wednesday, July 25. They will also be able to find out about social opportunities in their community.
