CALLING all kings, queens, princesses, knights and members of the royal court - a royal adventure awaits aboard the East Lancashire Railway's ‘Princess Academy’.
The theatrical event will take place on Thursday, August 2, and is aimed at girls and boys aged three to 10.
Starting at Bury's Bolton Street Station, visitors will be guided by a team of fairytale princesses through a quest to solve the mystery of the stolen magical gems of Storybook Land.
The two and a half hour journey will take in 12 miles of track along the Irwell Valley to Rawtenstall and back.
Visitors are being asked to wear their own costumes as there will be plenty of photo opportunities with characters.
Tickets are £13 for adults, £8.50 children aged 2-17, while it is free for children under two.
