WOODHEY High School was all smiles as the school celebrated another year of exceptional GCSE results.
Overall, more than 10 per cent of pupils attained at least one grade 9, while 43 per cent secured the coveted English Baccalaureate.
Headteacher Brian Roadnight said: “We are absolutely delighted with Woodhey’s results this summer. Our pupils and staff have continued to rise to the challenge of the new reformed GCSEs and their achievements are as good as any in recent years."
The school’s top achiever was star pupil Emma Rothwell whose results included an exceptional six grade nines.
