A WARNING has been issued after a bogus caller tried to steal financial information from a resident by pretending to be a police officer.
A man claiming to be 'DC Morris from the MET Police EK191' telephoned a Radcliffe resident and began asking questions about his personal finances.
Officers from Whitefield said the resident was not fooled by the fake caller who phoned on Friday, did not give away any of his details, and reported the incident to the police.
