THE Summerseat Players' latest play opens this weekend.
A one man performance of 'Morecambe' will debut at the Theatre Royal, in Smithy Street, on Saturday.
The play, directed by Paul Bracewell, takes the audience back to 1984 to join Eric Morecambe on his final journey and to key moments in his life.
All 34 characters, as well as pre-recorded voices, are portrayed by Chris Dunn.
The play will be performed from tonight until September 22, excluding Sundays. Performances will begin at 7.45pm.
Tickets can be booked online from www.ticketsource.co.uk/summerseatplayers or by visiting the box office from 7pm-8pm, or by calling the theatre on 01706 826760.
A special discounted price of £8 is available for the preview night tonight.
