AN air ambulance has landed near the Moorgate Primary Care Centre in Bury town centre.
Staff from the North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) were called to the scene on Sunday afternoon.
The Bury Times has received reports of a man having "fallen from a rooftop."
Members of the public reported seeing paramedics and police officers on the scene.
Diane White, from Chesham, said: "We saw the air ambulance land at the side of the Vue cinema. I have never seen one land so close.
"We saw two police cars.
"You see something like a helicopter landing and it is fascinating because you are not used to it. But unfortunately it is probably going to be bad news for someone."
The helicopter landed in Rochdale Road, at the site of the former bus depot, at about 12.45pm.
