SHOPPERS were serenaded by a pair of carol singing Christmas crackers at Mill Gate’s Seasonal Sunday event.
The colourful comedy characters spread festive cheer at the shopping centre this weekend with their traditional cracker jokes.
They also encouraged shoppers to take part in their “Name that tune and they will sing it” Christmas special.
The crazy crackers were joined by two Christmas elves, who entertained with displays of magic tricks and seasonal humour, while there was also a touch of glamour from the Candy Cane girls on stilts.
This forthcoming Sunday, there will be yet another sprinkle of seasonal magic at the shopping centre as the elves will be checking who has been naughty or nice for Santa on their Goodometer.
Youngsters will also be able to join Santa for a spot of breakfast at Mill gate on Sunday, December 16 when Patisserie Valerie hosts a breakfast with Santa event.
There are limited £5 tickets available from customer service, which includes breakfast and a gift from Santa.
On the same day, the shopping centre is set to play host to the world’s one and only octogenarian sequence trolley dancing duo Granny Turismo, who will be there to entertain shoppers
Meanwhile, Santa will be in his grotto on Union Arcade every day until Christmas Eve to receive present requests from youngsters.
Tickets to see him cost £4.50 and include a present.
They can be booked online at www.bookfatherchristmas.co.uk/millgate or alternatively, you can just turn up at the grotto.
