TWO women were taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Bury town centre.
The pair were hit by the Land Rover outside the entrance to Marks and Spencer in Derby Way shortly before 4.30pm on Saturday.
Police and ambulance attended the scene and the women were taken to hospital.
One is thought to have suffered a broken leg, while the second woman's injuries are not yet known.
The road was closed following the incident, resulting in congestion on surrounding roads including Rochdale Road and Angouleme Way.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "At about 4.40pm, we were called to reports of a collision between a car and two pedestrians in Derby Way.
"Two woman were taken to hospital, one with a suspected broken leg."
