COMMUTERS are facing delays of up to an hour on the M66 following a two-vehicle crash this morning.
Two lanes of the motorway's southbound carriageway were closed following the incident, which happened close to junction three for Pilsworth, at about 6.50am.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and all traffic was temporarily held while the vehicles were moved, causing long queues as far back as the Edenfield Bypass.
Traffic is also being affected along Rochdale Road in the direction of the M66.
All lanes have now been reopened, although Highways England are urging drivers to allow extra time for their journey.
