A DRIVER has been taken to hospital after his car veered off the road in Tottington.
Emergency services were called to the incident, involving a white Ford, in Turton Road shortly before 8.40am this morning.
After smashing through a hedge, the car crashed into a cabin at animal charity Pets In Need's base at Reynards Bank Farm.
A man in his 20s was rescued from the upside down car and taken to hospital.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said he had suffered arm injuries, although it is not known how serious they are.
Dorothy Maden from Pets In Need said: "We heard a loud bang, it was quite scary.
“It has made a hole in the roof."
Despite the damage to the cabin, no animals at the farm were hurt in the crash.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: “We were called to a collision in Turton Road at 8.37am.
“It involved one vehicle. We sent one ambulance and a male in his 20s was taken to hospital with injuries to his arm.”
