FOUR friends who won Gordon Ramsay's The F Word television series cooked up a winner for both the Bolton Food and Drink Festival and Bolton Parish Church.

Ramsbottom sisters Judith Hilton, Susan Lees and Sandra Drummond, who run the Park Farm Tea Rooms in Manchester Road, Walmersley, Bury, and their friend, Justine French, from Edgworth, served up a five-course meal for 100 guests in the church hall last Saturday night.

It was part of the food and drink festival and it also raised money for the church organ refurbishment fund.

Earlier this year, the quartet cooked for celebrities including Janet Street-Porter and comedian Johnny Vegas at Gordon Ramsay's Claridges Hotel restaurant after winning his Channel 4 series.

Saturday's meal included their winning three courses from the show.

Guests enjoyed three-coloured soup - tomato, mushroom and pea - followed by a goat's cheese and shallot tartlet and special shepherd's pie. They were then treated to a strawberry shot, served with balsamic vinegar, and toblerone souffle with local ice-cream.

The Lancashire Lasses also held a question-and-answer session, and the evening was expected to top £2,500 for the organ fund.
