QUIZZES, live entertainment and bingo have helped a major cosmetics brand to raise vital funds for a charity in Bury.

Staff based at L'Oréal's corporate office in Roach Bank Road have donated more than £7,000 to Communic8te Bury after organising a year of fundraising initiatives.

Communic8te Bury provides a variety of services to enhance the quality of life for people who are deaf or have a hearing loss.

In September 2018, L'Oréal also held a 'Citizens Day', when staff met with members of the charity and saw first-hand the impact of the work they were supporting. During this visit, three members of L'Oréal staff also spent the morning improving the garden at the charity's office. On April 10, business representatives presented the charity with a cheque for £7,035.

Mark O’Brien, Volunteering/Fundraising Officer at Communic8te, said: “I would like to sincerely thank everyone from L’Oréal Bury for their work and contribution over the last year.

"The generous donations given will go a long way to ensuring that we are able to continue our vital work, having a positive impact on people’s lives.”
