OLDER residents from across Radcliffe gathered together for a beach party-themed event.
The Rotary Club of Radcliffe hosted its latest 'Golden Olden' afternoon, with organisers saying it was the "biggest and best" event to date.
The quarterly get-togethers are attended by staff and residents from various residential homes across the borough, and give people a chance to socialise.
Vickee Ryan, manager of Whitefield House, said: "Our residents have had a great afternoon out. It makes a great break from the normal routines for them. And they all get a bit of valuable exercise dancing in their chairs or on their feet."
Singer Jessica B returned to the latest rotary event on June 6 to provide the entertainment. She included plenty of songs that reflected the anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Organiser Diana Morton was really pleased with the event and gave particular praise to Radcliffe Borough for allowing the Rotary Club free use of their club room.
