A TEENAGER caught driving a car without a licence or insurance in Bury on April 12 has bee fined £200 by Manchester Youth Court. The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted committing the offences by driving a Nissan Note on Market Street. He was also ordered to pay £105 in costs and charges.

A MAN who damaged CCTV cameras and a phone belonging to Housing Link in Bury and stole a washing machine and microwave from the organisation, has been jailed for 38 weeks. At Manchester Magistrates' Court Ashley Walsh, aged 29, of Castlecroft Road, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offences and also failing to provide a drug sample and failing to abide by the terms of the sex offenders' register. He was also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

MAGISTRATES have fined a man £80 after he pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour towards another man in Blackpool on May 11. At Manchester Magistrates' Court James Smith, aged 26, of Ampleforth Gardens, Radcliffe, was also ordered to pay £70 in costs and charges.

A SEX offender who failed to keep in touch with his supervising officer after being released from prison and failed to comply with notification requirements has been ordered to carry out unpaid work by Manchester magistrates.

Owen Lawrence, aged 39, of no fixed address, admitted committing the offences. He was also ordered to pay £170 in costs and charges.

A MAN who threatened to damage a woman's home has been ordered to have treatment for alcohol addiction. At Manchester Magistrates' Court Ronan Ferris, aged 20, of Warwick Close, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on October 19. Ferris was also ordered to carry out 50 hours of unpaid work, participate in 10 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £170 in costs and charges. A restraining order was made banning him from contacting his victim or going to Borough Avenue, Radcliffe.

MAGISTRATES have banned a motorist from the roads for 18 months after she was caught drink driving. Andreea Racocianu, aged 20, of Rowlands Road, Bury, had drunk almost double the legal alcohol limit when she drove a Range Rover Evoque on Middleton Street, Salford, on June 11. She was fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs.

A SHOPLIFTER has been ordered to have treatment for drug addiction after he pleaded guilty to stealing meat and washing tablets, worth £62, from the Co-op in Bury on March 26.

At Manchester Magistrates' Court Scott Roberts, aged 38, of Welbeck Close, Whitefield, was also ordered to pay £170 in costs and charges.
