MAGISTRATES have given a man a conditional discharge for 12 months after he admitted assaulting two women in Radcliffe on August 23. Keian Heap, aged 23, of Woodhill Road, Bury, was also ordered to pay £106 in costs and charges.

A MAN who damaged windows and doors at a woman’s home on July 13 has been ordered to do 40 hours of unpaid work by Manchester magistrates. Jake Walker-Holmes, aged 23, of Cartmel Close, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence and was given a community sentence.He must also pay £650 in compensation and participate in 23 days of rehabilitation activities.

A DRINK driver who was caught using a Mercedes without insurance has been banned from holding a licence for 12 months. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Leon Heaton, aged 26, of Haven Close, Radcliffe, pleaded guilty to committing the offences when he drove the car on Moss Street, Bury, on August 3. He was also fined £135 and was ordered to pay £135 in costs and charges.

A MAN who caused damage, estimated at £100, to a police cell has been sentenced to a conditional discharge for 12 months by Manchester magistrates. Dwayne Regan, aged 24, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on July 14. He was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

MAGISTRATES have sentenced a teenager to an electronically tagged curfew after he admitted assaulting a police officer on August 17. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Robert Tollitt, aged 19, of Bowland Close, Bury, was told he must stay at home from 11.15pm to 6am for four weeks. He was also ordered to pay £175 in costs and charges.

A WOMAN has been fined £115 for having a vehicle which was not properly insured. Donna Alexander, aged 42, of Chaffinch Drive, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on June 20 last year.At Bolton Magistrates' Court Alexander was also ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

A MAN who kept an untaxed Citroen Dispatch van on Rochdale Road, Bury, on October 12, 2017 has been fined £85 by Bolton magistrates. Jasper Hirst, aged 43, of Gorse Pit, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence. He was also ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs and £40 in vehicle excise back duty.

A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for 12 months and fined £560. At Bolton Magistrates' Court Benjamin McNab, aged 31, of Manchester Old Road, Bury, pleaded guilty. The court heard that he had driven a Range Rover Evoque on Spring Lane, Radcliffe, on November 27 last year without insurance and having drunk almost three times the legal alcohol limit.
