ONE of the nation’s most popular brass bands are going cross border to join with the borough’s finest for a dazzling display.
The Brighouse and Rastrick Band will unite with the Besses Boys’ Band for a joint town centre concert on October 5.
With a formidable reputation for highly entertaining concerts ‘Briggus’ have many notable triumphs to their name including being crowned the current Champion Band of Yorkshire and holding the majority of premier band championships throughout their existence — most recently becoming National Champion Band of Great Britain in 2017.
While in 1998 they took a unique, and as yet unequalled, triple crown by concurrently holding the English Masters, British National and European Championships.
The Bury concert will take place at Bury Parish Church from 7.30pm. For tickets visit www.buryparishchurch.com
