TRIBUTES have continued to be left near to the scene of the tragic death of 11-month-old baby Zakari William Bennett-Eko who died this week after being pulled from the River Irwell.

Today, dozens of residents have left yet more flowers, soft toys, balloons and cards; and have been lighting candles near to the scene of the incident in Blackburn Street.

Many also left heartfelt messages and words of support for the youngster's family.

One read: "You didn't deserve this baby boy. RIP darling. Lots and lots of love. Shine bright up there."

Another said: "RIP Little Man. Hope you find happiness with your angel wings."

A bouquet of flowers had also been left by Bury South MP Ivan Lewis and his staff saying that baby Zakari was in their "hearts and thoughts".
