A TRIAL date has been provisionally fixed for a Czech national over an alleged firearms incident at a Radcliffe park two years ago.
Pavel Jakes, 52, has been accused of possessing an air rifle in a public place, namely Springwater Park, on August 17, 2017.
Jakes, of Glenwood Drive, Middleton, is also charged with possessing the same weapon without a firearms certificate on the same date.
He has previously pleaded guilty to possessing an extendable baton before magistrates.
Jakes appeared unrepresented before Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court today.
Judge John Potter set a provisional trial date of May 25 next year and bailed Jakes to allow him to seek legal advice.
The defendant will next appear in the dock on September 22 to enter pleas to the two firearms offences.
