TWO passengers stepped in to give CPR after a man fell ill on a train.
The mystery heroes helped the man until paramedics arrived at the scene with a defibrillator
The man was taken to hospital from Grange railway station after the incident.
In a tweet posted on Friday night British Transport Police said: "A man was taken ill aboard a train at Grange Over Sands.
"Two passengers - and unfortunately we don't have their details to thank them - provided CPR until paramedics arrived with a defibrillator."
