A MAN is searching for the teenagers who stopped to help him after he collapsed in pain at a Bolton bus stop.

David, a 66-year-old man from Radcliffe, was at a bus stop on Church Street, Little Lever, on Friday, August 28 when he started feeling excruciating pain in his abdomen.

He found himself unable to move, with a small group of teenagers coming to his rescue by phoning an ambulance and waiting with him until help arrived.

The crew took him to hospital, where he then spent ten days as a patient due to a burst stomach ulcer.

David, who is now recovering well at home, reached out to North West Ambulance Service to thank the emergency crew that helped him, and is now searching for the young people who came to his aid.

He said: “They really were brilliant and I would really like to get back in touch with them to pass on my thanks personally.”

The teenagers are believed to be around 18-years-old, and were passing the area on the evening of August 28.

If you were part of this group, or might know the people who stopped to help, email communications@nwas.nhs.uk to put David in touch with his everyday heroes.
