A SALFORD man is set to appear before a judge over a string of alleged offences said to have been carried out on the same day in Bury.
Kieran Shortman is accused of robbing taxi driver Daniel Rothwell of £200 in takings and causing him grievous bodily harm with intent on September 4.
Shortman, of Orion Place in Lower Broughton, has also been charged with handling a stolen Peugeot 308 car, valued at £8,500, belonging to Nicholas Tasker, on the same date and carrying out an arson attack on the same vehicle.
The 35-year-old also stands accused of stealing a dash cam belonging to Jack Hadfield. worth £100, also on September 4, and the possession of a machete in a public place, namely Mersey Drive in Whitefield.
Shortman was sent for trial in custody to Manchester Crown Court.
He will appear in the dock via a video link for a plea and trial preparation hearing there on December 10.
