A CAR which was found abandoned in Bury was recovered by police after it was found to have been stolen.
After carrying out checks, police discovered that the vehicle had been taken from Lancashire.
It was subsequently recovered.
A police spokesman said: "We attended a report of an abandoned vehicle in Bury.
"Turned out to be a stolen vehicle, belonging to an owner in Lancashire. Recovered intact.
"The parking charge notices aren't ours before you ask!"
