A PEDESTRIAN was hit by a lorry on the M60 this morning.
The collision happened close to junction 18 for Simister Island, police said.
It is not known what the pedestian's condition is, with a large number of emergency vehicles, including an ambulance and police, spotted in the area.
The M60 clockwise from junction 17 Whitefield/Prestwich to junction 18 at Simister Island was shut following the incident.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers arrived at the scene this morning.
A force spokesman said: "Police were called at around 11am on Saturday to a report of a collision between a pedestrian and a lorry on the M60 close to junction 18.
"Emergency services are in attendance."
