OLYMPIC gold medallist Chris Boardman is special guest speaker at next week’s Bury Walking and Cycling Community Forum.
New members are welcome to attend the online meeting, which is organised by Bury Live Well Service and takes place on Thursday, May 13 at 6pm.
Chris, who is also the Greater Manchester Walking and Cycling Commissioner, will talk about the Bee Network (the walking and cycling network linking people and places across Greater Manchester) and take questions afterwards.
Also speaking at the forum will be Rowan Ardill, the new Greater Manchester Mayor of Running.

The agenda will include updates on local infrastructure and the repair and maintenance fund, and the latest news from borough engineers about crossings, active neighbourhoods and new foot bridges.
Members will also be invited to join led walks, hear about local initiatives to make our schools greener and safer, and participate in this month’s Greater Manchester Walking Festival.
