The creative winners of light-hearted scarecrow-stuffing festival have been announced.

People from all over Tottington left stuffed scarecrows of famous figures and characters outside in their front lawns, for the judges of the competition to see, with the most elaborate designs getting the top prizes.

This year's winners included The Wizard of Oz train station in first place, Spongebob and Patrick in second, and the cast of Frozen in third.

Special prizes also went to Crow Salem Scare Mo, for being the youngest entry of 2021 and the cricketer for being the first scarecrow of 2021.

Vikki Wheeler, one of the organisers of the event, posted: "This is all about community, it is lovely to see so many community entries and to see so many families walking the trail, enjoying the creations, the efforts made by you all have been amazing.

"Our big local events being postponed has not dampened Tottington's community spirit.

"Hopefully, restrictions dependent, we will be able to enjoy all our regular local events as well as the scarecrows in 2022!

"It's been a tough job judging with the standard of entries being so high!"

The top three winners will be treated to £30, £20, £15 with prize delivery being arranged later in the week.
