A NEW open top bus service has begun linking Bolton and Ramsbottom throughout the summer.
Diamond Bus North West's 'Rammy Rambler' first set off on July 24 and will provide three return journeys per day between Wednesday and Sunday up until September 5.
For those wishing to use the East Lancashire Railway (ELR), joint tickets for both unlimited travel on all Diamond Bus North West Services and ELR services will be available online and the ELR website. The service will also provide a link to Jumbles country park and Hawkshaw village, creating bus links with Bolton and Ramsbottom which are not currently available.
Concession passes, Diamond Bus day/week tickets, our passes, system one and get me there tickets are all accepted on the service.
Bob Dunn, regional managing director, Diamond Bus North West, said: "This new summer service is promoting the staycation message from the Government and providing a link between Bolton and Ramsbottom.
"We hope our passengers will enjoy using the open top service and our timetable is timed to enable travel on the ELR.
"Following over a year of living under restrictions we are pleased to run this new bus service over the summer, through some of the scenic countryside we are so fortunate to have on our doorstep.
"We are also really excited to have joined up with ELR to provide a joint ticket for bus and ELR, so people can have a truly enjoyable day out without having to travel far."
