CHARLATANS frontman Tim Burgess is coming to Bury to sign copies of his new book.

The indie star's online Listening Party sessions in lockdown attracted widespread interest from music lovers.

Fans could stream or play selected albums while the artist behind the work could tweet stories about its conception.

The 54-year-old will be signing copies of his book, The Listening Party, at Wax and Beans in Market Street on Tuesday, September 14, from 6pm.

A spokesman for the store said the retailer would also post out copies to fans who could not attend the gathering, which forms part of a 16-date signing tour.

In a tweet, the store added: "We'll ask Tim to sign it for you and include any personalised messages."

Tim is no stranger to Bury, having previously played at DJ set at The Met to kick off the venue's post-refurbishment programme in 2017.

He will also be involved with Wax and Beans, among other places, for his multi-location record fair Vinyl Adventures on December 5.

The new book is the fourth by the Salford-born musician, after his original biography, Telling Stories, One Two Another, a line by line dissection of his lyrics and Vinyl Adventures from Istanbul to San Francisco, covering a road trip undertaken to feed his passion for rare LPs.
