A motorcyclist has died after a crash last night.
The accident happened in Ramsbottom at 10:40pm.
Emergency services were called to Market Place.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "It is believed the rider lost control of his bike and collided with the kerb.
"A 32-year-old man was treated by paramedics at the scene and was taken to hospital, where he sadly died.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
Later this morning, the road was reopened.
