Radcliffe bridge being removed in 1973
This photo shows a rusting footbridge across the Leeds-Liverpool Canal being removed in Radcliffe in 1973. Workmen had to secure electric cables and other pipework by constructing a special ‘cradle’ before the 60-year-old footbridge was removed
