BURY sports chain JD sports have joned the big stores in kicking off Christmas with its own festive advert.

An array  of stars from the worlds of sport, music and TV have been brought together for the new JD Sport Christmas advert.

Celebrities including presenter Maya Jama, actor Michael Dapaah and rapper Little Simz are among the famous faces that appear in the sportwear brand’s King of the Streets Christmas campaign set just down M60 in Oldham town centre.

 

England's brightest football stars including Jude Bellingham, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ebe Eze, Kalvin Phillips, Leah Williamson and Jadon Sancho also feature.

In the advert Oldham’s Albion Street and Curzon Street are lit up by CGI Christmas lights and store fronts are transformed by JD branding with each boasting the store's initials.

Tommyfield Market Hall and Royal Amusements can also be spotted in the star-studded clip which aims to celebrate the UK high street.

Sound tracked by Toddla T and Shaybo, the advert sees a young male protagonist taking a stroll down a fictitious high street on a wintery night.

Through a shop window, Maya Jama and Michael Dapaah are seen running a dog groomers called Jama & Dapaah, which is visited by former Love Islander Joanna Chimonides, as Little Simz and singer Ms Banks catch up at the milkshake parlour Jammy Dodgers.

Meanwhile Manchester rapper Aitch and singer Shaybo serve up Jamaican patties at the restaurant Jerk & Dumplings next door and Central Cee and Russ Millions hunt for mince pies at the Juicy & Delicious grocery store.

YouTubers Tobi Brown (AKA TBJZL) and KSI, rap duo Young T & Bugsey, artist Arrdee, presenter Joelah Noble, rapper Jay 1 and the Stormzy backed bike collective BikeStormz, also appear in the festive advert.

Since the first store opened in Bury 1982, JD Sports has become a firm favourite on th High Street.
