The Trafford Centre’s outdoor Christmas attraction, Tinsel Town, is officially open – and it is home to the UK’s longest toboggan slide.

Tinsel Town is open from now until 3 January and features plenty of exciting things to do and see.

As well as the toboggan slide the ‘Winter Wonderland of the North’ features an enormous covered ice rink in partnership with Hits Radio, a spectacular ice-skating show within a heated big top, a big wheel, the world’s largest mobile bungee as well as over 20 festive-themed fairground rides, street food and Father Christmas himself.

Families will be able to meet Father Christmas in a magical twinkling tipi and join in with his elves’ Christmas song, as well receiving a special gift and having their photo taken with the big man himself.

Afterwards, grab a seat in the huge hangar and enjoy seasonal delights from traditional Bavarian Huts or independent street food vendors including Oh My Glaze, Old School Dogs, The Thai Food Van, Epic Pizza, Kingdom of Sweets and Bouji Baker.

Don’t miss 'Snowstorm', a 90-minute spectacular production live from the heated theatre big top featuring an international cast of ice skaters and incredible circus artistes on 600 square feet of shimmering real ice.

Zoe Inman, Centre Director, said: “Tinsel Town truly is the North’s own Winter Wonderland; an experience you do not want to miss this Christmas! Combine your visit with some late-night shopping, festive events at stores such as Selfridges and John Lewis, festive music on the malls and of course, our spectacular Christmas lights.”

Tinsel Town is outside The Orient, opposite The Great Hall entrance.
