Police have launched an attempted murder probe after a taxi driver was attacked on Saturday in Bury.
Investigators now want to speak to Richard Steven McCormack in connection with an incident on The Rock at around 4.15am.
The attack is said to have taken place outside the NatWest bank and left the victim with serious facial injuries.
Police have urged the public to come forward with any information on McCormack's whereabouts.
A police spokesman said: "Richard Steven McCormack, 27, is wanted in connection with the attempted murder of a taxi driver in Bury on January 8.
"Anyone with information about McCormack's whereabouts should contact police via LiveChat on our website https://crowd.in/10nYmv, call 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111. Please do not approach this man. If sighted contact the police on 999."
