A HOUSING landlord has announced the deadline of its annual photography competition, inviting tenants to show off their communities.

Six Town Housing’s photography competition is in its second year, inviting residents to share pictures and inspirational stories capturing the spirit of lockdown.

The competition is open to anyone and the deadline is January 23. The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges, who will award a £50 prize.

Six Town Housing chief executive Sharon McCambridge, said: “When entering the competition, the winner has a fantastic opportunity to represent not only us but the whole of Bury in the National Federation of ALMOs (arms-length management organisation) prestigious competition."

Photos must have been taken between May 2020 and January 2022. For more details go to the Six Town Housing website.

Sharon added: "We would love to head the stories behind the photos from our vibrant communities and individuals that pulled together by helping each other during these challenging times.”

The winning photo will be displayed at the National Federation of ALMO’s (NFA) Birmingham conference in April.
